Next month, he’ll be delivering the keynote address at SMSS Chicago and discussing how reputation management has now become a defining feature for many companies, both online and offline.

March 4, 2013 - The Global Strategic Management Institute (GSMI) is excited to announce that Director of Social Strategy at Walmart, Umang Shah will deliver the keynote address on April 23rd on “Building Smart Social Media Strategies,” at the Social Media Strategies Summit, Chicago(#SMSsummit) at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Umang Shah (@umang_shah) is the Director of Social Strategy for Walmart, where he is responsible for leveraging technology to help protect, manage, and improve the company’s reputation. Prior to this, he led Social Media efforts for Microsoft, focused on Small and Medium Businesses. Umang has had a diverse technology-driven marketing career, including launching innovative Customer Marketing programs for Xerox, BEA Systems, and VMware and founding Cubed Consulting, which provided integrated marketing services to startups and emerging businesses.

Next month, he’ll be delivering the keynote address at SMSS Chicago and discussing how reputation management has now become a defining feature for many companies, both online and offline. He will share how Walmart has built better social media strategies for reputation management of the company. Summit attendees will learn how Umang utilized a more analytical and data-driven approach to build smarter strategies.
