These national rankings are good for the local housing market as the qualities the area is ranking for are some of the top concerns of potential Chicago home buyers.
Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) March 06, 2013
2013 has been a good year for Chicago thus far. In the month of February alone, Chicago Real Estate Forum reported several new rankings for the Chicagoland area and its businesses.
First up, Chicago was named the fifth most popular moving destination in the country according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Next, area residents found out that local town, Bartlett, Ill., was named the fourth safest town in the U.S. in the NeighborhoodScout rankings. And, for those who have gotten into the car sharing trend in the Windy City, you aren't alone. Chicago was named a top ten place for car shares in the U.S. by WalkScore.
However, local cities weren't the only ones with national rankings in February, Chicago-based mortgage lender Guaranteed Rate is now among the top 20 in the U.S. with more than 140 office nationwide.
Mitch Levinson, publisher of Chicago Real Estate Forum and managing partner with mRELEVANCE states, “These national rankings are good for the local housing market as the qualities the area is ranking for are some of the top concerns of potential Chicago home buyers.”
As Chicago and it's outlying cities continue to rack up the rankings, it is likely that we will see a continued increase in the area's housing economy.
