AVERY, BIZ, ENC, and INX file extensions are associated with a variety of different file types one of which is a page layout file. Taking into account that page layout files are commonly used for desktop publishing and contain data which defines page formatting, text, images, and structured layouts, Avanquest recently introduced recommendations on the main types of software to open AVERY, BIZ, ENC, and INX files.
File extension AVERY is a page layout file created by Avery Dennison which is used for printing labels with the Avery Print and Design Online application. AVERY files can contain layouts, text, and images for business cards, CD/DVD labels, peel and stick labels, note cards, and more.
File extension BIZ is associated with Broderbund desktop publishing application and contains text and images used to create professional looking business cards. BIZ files can also originate from desktop publishing applications created by American Greetings.
File extension ENC is a page layout file that contains a document in PDF (Portable Document Format). ENC files are created with Copysafe PDF, which makes the file password protected and guarded against unauthorized use of text and images.
File extension INX is associated with Adobe InDesign and is a page layout file which contains structured data, images, text formats, and other elements used to create publications. INX files are commonly exported to XML format.

In most cases, it is important to use the software application which created the page layout file in order to maintain the proper formatting. Using an alternative software application sometimes will sacrifice elements in the original formatting created with the native application. That said, the following software applications can be used to open AVERY, BIZ, ENC, and INX files.
InDesign CS6: Adobe InDesign CS6 is a professional desktop publishing software application that will open file extension INX. Print Shop: Broderbund Print Shop is a desktop publishing software application that will open file extension BIZ. Print Shop offers a comprehensive set of tools for creating a variety of projects, including business cards, calendars, greeting cards, and more. Print Shop is available in a paid version on the Broderbund website and is compatible with the Windows operating system and Mac OS X. Windows users should use Print Shop 3.0 and Mac OS X users should use Print Shop for Mac.
CreataCard: American Greetings CreataCard is a software application which offers a set of tools for creating greeting cards, small booklets, and brochures that use file extension BIZ. CreataCard is available on the American Greetings website and is compatible with the Windows operating system version XP and higher.
