Yohan Ruso has great experience with rapidly growing companies, and further establishing them worldwide. His guidance is a major asset to PrestaShop as we strive to strengthen our international communities.
Miami, FL (PRWEB) March 07, 2013
Earlier this year, world leading e-commerce company PrestaShop elected former Managing Director of eBay France, Yohan Ruso, to join their Board of Directors. Currently, PrestaShop leads the European e-commerce market, and is now making direct and aggressive moves to spread its domination to international markets. One of the most obvious moves in this direction has been the election of Yohan Ruso. Ruso has extensive experience in the field of e-commerce, and specifically international business relations. His success in the industry is undisputable and will likely accelerate PrestaShop's already growing presence in numerous countries. The pairing of the two makes for an unstoppable force.
Ruso began his career in the Internet world in 2000 by co-founding LeBonKado.com, where he quickly generated an impressive $2 million in sales, and later sold it successfully to Accor Services. His e-commerce debut occurred in 2008 as the Country Manager of Shopping.com, in which he quickly took on the position of Managing Director at parent company and e-commerce giant, eBay France. As a Managing Director of one of the largest e-commerce website in Europe, Ruso exuded a policy of growth and effectively shifted the company to a completely new and improved browsing experience, focused on professional sellers.
"I am thrilled to bring my knowledge of international e-commerce markets to PrestaShop to boost the great growth that they are experiencing. PrestaShop is unquestionably the number one solution in Europe and it will be exciting to see that power expand to areas like the Americas and Asia, where the solution's community is already strong," stated Ruso.
Bruno Leveque, Co-founder and Chairman of PrestaShop, is excited about the addition of Ruso, stating, "Yohan Ruso has great experience with rapidly growing companies, and further establishing them worldwide. His guidance is a major asset to PrestaShop as we strive to strengthen our international communities."
In 2012, PrestaShop reached two million downloads following the release of their highly reviewed new version, PrestaShop v1.5.
