BringMeTheNews (BMTN), the Minnesota-based online and broadcast news platform, is introducing a new section: Entertainment & Arts. The section complements the service's current lineup of News, Sports, Business and Weather by offering the latest headlines on concerts, comedy, music, movies, art, theater and more.

The Twin Cities is one of the top markets in the U.S. for arts and entertainment. Second only to New York City, the Twin Cities has more theater seats per capita than any other city in the U.S.1 BringMeTheNews recognizes that there is high interest for entertainment and arts news, especially when it comes to new and custom content related to the film industry and celebrities. The new Entertainment & Arts section will present the latest in entertainment news – from local event listings and features to reviews and celebrity interviews.

Minnesota’s own Tim Lammers, veteran movie and entertainment editor, has joined the BringMeTheNews team to curate entertainment content and offer his original, exclusive weekly movie reviews and interviews. Tim is a nationally syndicated member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association. His portfolio includes interviews with thousands of celebrities and filmmakers, including Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Francis Ford Coppola and Harrison Ford.

“The addition of Tim Lammers is a win for our BringMeTheNews readers,” said Rick Kupchella, BringMeTheNews founder. “We’re absolutely thrilled to offer some of the area's best entertainment and arts news, complemented by the professionalism and experience of Tim Lammers. His experience in the field and his connections with industry headliners across the world will give Minnesotans a front-row seat to original entertainment news and reviews. We’ve only just launched, but we’re so impressed with the initial response that we’re already looking to grow and evolve in the coming months, including new relationships with local arts and entertainment partners.”

After a recent redesign, BringMeTheNews users can create their own personalized news feeds by prioritizing local news content – now including Entertainment & Arts – according to their preferences. Users can also import additional sources of niche content, national news and international news. Additionally, the site is fully compatible with mobile platforms. BMTN recently launched a free iOS and Android app.
