Baton Rouge School of Court Reporting (brscr.com) will be offering a Mock Certification Exam on Wednesday, March 20, at the school's Baton Rouge campus at 13003 Justice Avenue, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The test is a practice opportunity for candidates scheduled to take the skills testing required to become a court reporter in Louisiana or other states.

According to Karen Vornkahl, the school's director, "We find that giving the students a realistic drill that simulates the actual certification testing experience removes much of the worry and fear of the unknown that can be paralyzing to a first-time test candidate. Our students and graduates who participate in the Mock Test perform very well at the actual certification test."

The test is open to BRSCR-enrolled court reporting students and graduates, both machine (steno) and voice methods. Other interested candidates are invited if space permits. Contact the school directly to make a reservation.

BRSCR teaches machine (steno) and voice (mask) court reporting, plus scoping. The school has been in operation since January of 2006. Along with its sister campus, Professional Institute of Court Reporting in Metairie, Louisiana, BRSCR has certified more than a hundred court reporters in Louisiana.
