Foundation Financial Group announced the conclusion of the company’s West Webster Fallen Heroes campaign, a two part initiative benefiting the families of the two Rochester firefighters who were killed responding to a house fire on Christmas Eve 2012.

Part one of the initiative consisted of FFG employees across the nation in all parts of the corporation made personal donations to the cause with the corporation matching those donations dollar for dollar to be split equally between the two families. The final piece in the West Webster Fallen Heroes initiative consisted of the company passing two notebooks throughout all offices across the nation so that every FFG employee had the opportunity to express their condolences and well wishes to the families of the fallen heroes.

“I am very proud to know that FFG played a part in showing our support,” said Foundation Financial Group Event Coordinator, Darren Ross. “There is nothing that we can do to undo what has happened, but in true FFG style we did everything in our power to contribute in whatever way we could.”

On March 5, 2013, employees from Foundation Financial Group’s Rochester, NY office, located at 1 South Washington Street, Floor 3, met with the President and Chiefs of the West Webster Fire Department to exchange the notebooks and donated funds. The West Webster firehouse family will transport the packages to each of the families.

“The thoughtfulness of all the employees at FFG was very touching,” said Bryan Bayer, vice president of the West Webster Volunteer Firemen’s Association. “The time and effort it took to both write everyone’s sentiments in the note books and to collect the donations from across the country was very impressive. Its people such as those at FFG that are helping both the affected families and the firehouse family start to heal from this terrible tragedy. There truly are good people in this world and the employees at FFG surely exemplify that.”
