The Cowen Group, an established provider of recruiting and talent advisory services for eDiscovery, information governance and compliance professionals, announced the promotion of Maribel Rivera to Vice President. Maribel will continue to provide project leadership and oversight to TCG Events, which includes the Leadership Breakfast and *New* New Leaders programs. She will also have a key role in company operations and oversee all marketing initiatives.

Rivera joined The Cowen Group in March 2010 as the Events Coordinator and Administrative Assistant to David Cowen. She quickly rose to a supervisory position by providing leadership and guidance to the team, building deep relationships with clients and constantly seeking to improve processes in the organization.
“We plan to continue growing our recruiting services and event programs in the coming two years,” said Cowen. “Maribel will be an important asset to help our organization achieve continued growth of our executive placement and thought leadership practices."
Rivera previously served as Executive Assistant of Sales and Operations for the New York region at Merrill Corporation for three years and earlier was Senior Sales Administrator at Nortel Networks for 10 years. Maribel attended the University of Phoenix and holds an Executive Assistant program certification from the Katherine Gibbs Business School. She is an active member of the NYC chapter of Women in eDiscovery and was recently elected to the board as Meetings Director.
