Bruno Mars is back on tour. This time the “Moonshine Jungle World Tour” concert series will go have shows in 40 cities in North America and Puerto Rico. It officially starts on June 22 at the Verizon Center, Washington D.C. and ends on September 1 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico at San Juan, Puerto Rico. There will two pre-concert tour dates, the first one on March 7 at the Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX and the next will be at the Dubai Media Center, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on April 12. Along with Bruno for some US shows would be would be Elie Goulding and Fitz & The Tantrums
Currently, Mars's “Unorthodox Jukebox” is at the top of the Billboard Album chart, getting a bump from his impending concert tour and an aggressive pricing courtesy of Amazon. “Unorthodox Jukebox” was released in December 2012, and is his second album. Bruno Mars was born Peter Gene Hernandez, to Peter Hernandez and the former Bernadette San Pedro Bayot, in Hawaii on October 8, 1985. His parents were both performers, and he has been performing with them on stage since he was a young boy. After graduating from high school, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music.
Along with Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine, they formed The Smeezingtons, which was principally a record production and songwriting team. Meantime, between 2004 and 2009, he wrote and produced songs for various artists like Sean Kingston, Flo Rida, Adam Levine, Alexandra Burke and Brandy. During that period, he also sang backup vocals for artists like B.o.B., Travie McCoy, Bad Meets Evil, Lil Wayne.
He released his first album “Doo-Wops and Hooligans” in 2010, under Elektra. It reached number 3 on the Album charts in the United States, and sold six million copies worldwide. The album contained the number 1 hit singles, “Just the Way You Are” and “Grenade.” Another single, “The Lazy Song” reached the number 4 slot on the singles chart. He released another single, “It Will Rain”, which was part of the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn original sound track. It reached number 3 on the singles chart.
So far, “Unorthodox Jukebox” has yielded the number one single “Locked Out of Heaven”. Another single, “When I Was Your Man” is at number 2 and still climbing.
