WASHINGTON D.C. (PRWEB) March 11, 2013

Diet-to-Go, a national diet meal delivery service, is teaming up with D.C. Chef Alli Sosna, registered dietitian Rebecca Mohning and influential health bloggers to spread the message that eating healthy and eating affordably are not mutually exclusive. As title sponsor of the cooking stage and an exhibitor at the NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo on March 16-17, Diet-to-Go will promote a conversation about common-sense healthy approaches to eating through cooking demonstrations, flavorful recipes, a panel discussion and a Tweetathon.

Chef Sosna teaches those on government-supplemented food budgets how to shop and prepare great tasting, healthy meals on a small budget through her D.C.-based non-profit Micro Greens. Chef Sosna will be delivering her message of affordable healthy eating to people who struggle with weight management when she presents on the Diet-to-Go Cooking Stage at the NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo on March 16 at 2 p.m.

Rebecca Mohning, MS RD LD, is a registered dietician and certified professional trainer with over 10 years of clinical and field experience. Mohning has often been consulted as an expert by media outlets such as Fox News, the Discovery Channel, ABC News, The Washington Post and more. She will also join Diet-to-Go and Chef Sosna at the Expo to provide attendees with common-sense solutions for permanent weight loss and sustainable healthy living.

Four prominent health bloggers will also accompany Diet-to-Go’s Expo line-up to discuss, and share personal stories about, the effectiveness of social media on weight loss. These influential bloggers are all active advocates for, and real-life examples of, the effectiveness of small, practical changes that can become lifelong healthy habits. The bloggers include Carly Dougherty of Carly Bananas; Ashley Rozendaal of Coffee Cake and Cardio; Allison Godfrey of Wicked Healthy Washingtonian; and Sana Waheed of Super Sana.

In tandem with the NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo, Diet-to-Go will also offer daily giveaways and prizes on March 16-17 as part of a two-day Tweetathon promoting a common-sense approach to sustainable healthy living. The Tweetathon will begin March 16 at 9 a.m. EST and end March 17 at 5 p.m. EST. The public is invited to participate in the conversation by using the hashtags #diettogo and #tweetathon.
