Mount Pleasant, SC (PRWEB) March 07, 2013
eGroup, the Southeast’s leading provider of cloud, application and end-user computing services, today announced it has been named to CRN’s third annual list of the Tech Elite 250. Companies on the 2013 Tech Elite 250 list represent an elite group of IT solution providers that have invested in the training and education needed to earn the most advanced technical certifications in the IT Channel for data center or cloud.
In compiling the list, CRN editors worked with the UBM Tech Channel research group and a team of outside experts to define the most customer-beneficial technical certifications in the IT channel. These technical certifications have enabled solution providers to deliver the most premium products, service and support to their North American customers.
Today’s news follows eGroup’s recent Microsoft Gold competencies in Collaboration and Content, and Management and Virtualization. To earn a Microsoft gold competency, partners must successfully complete exams (resulting in Microsoft Certified Professionals) to prove their level of technology expertise, and then designate these certified professionals uniquely to one Microsoft competency, ensuring a certain level of staffing capacity. They also must submit customer references that demonstrate successful projects (along with implementing a yearly customer satisfaction study), meet a revenue commitment (for most gold competencies), and pass technology and/or sales assessments.
“We’re honored to once again make CRN’s list of the Tech Elite 250,” said Mike Carter, Principal, eGroup. “The entire sales and delivery teams work tirelessly to maintain the highest technical certifications and achieve new competencies. For example, eGroup recently achieved Microsoft Gold Partner Status by obtaining two Gold Level competencies. Since Microsoft revamped the program in late 2011, only one percent of Microsoft Partners Worldwide are Gold Partners.”
Carter continued: “Coupling our technical expertise with the business knowledge and skills to ensure a successful outcome is truly what sets our team apart.”
“The 2013 Tech Elite 250 list recognizes an exclusive group of solution providers that have invested in training and technical know-how to help their customers understand the benefits of some of the most sophisticated technology deployments in the market – and have shown a dedication to helping customers innovate while reducing costs,” said Kelley Damore, Senior Vice President, Editorial Director at UBM Tech Channel. “By identifying and adapting to the skills and training needed to best serve today’s customers, members of the Tech Elite 250 have proven their commitment to delivering the products and services that today’s customers value most.”
