Pompano Beach, FL (PRWEB) March 08, 2013
Alchemist Management announced Thursday that it will be launching a new Internet radio show and accompanying MMA news website on March 13 and that the inaugural broadcast will feature the company’s founder and CEO, three-time Grammy winner and multi platinum selling hip-hop recording star MC Hammer. Hammer will be joining the show’s co-hosts, veteran MMA journalist Bryan Levick and his longtime broadcast partner Mitchell Ciccarelli for an intimate exclusive interview in which he will discuss Alchemist day-today operations and goals for the future.
“The formation of Alchemist Radio represents a shift in sports management,” explained MC Hammer. “We’re looking at the creation of Alchemist 2.0 where we will integrate social media with mainstream media giving fighters and entertainers a new, unbiased platform with no hidden agendas.”
Levick, who founded both the wildly popular Rebellion Radio and BJ Penn Radio shows with Ciccarelli, says that the show will not only showcase the talented crop of Alchemist fighters, but will also feature fighters not affiliated with the top-tier agency.
“Mitch and I are extremely excited about teaming up with MC Hammer and Alchemist Management to bring fans a unique perspective on the fighters’ lives inside as well as outside of the cage,” Levick said. “We look forward to reaching a whole new legion of fans with the help of Alchemist and their world class promotional team which includes Hammer and his over 3.1 million twitter followers.”
Alchemist Radio will offer exclusive fighter interviews as well as weekly segments, including coach’s corner and appearances by industry insiders. One such insider is Reed Kuhn who will host a weekly Fight Science segment on Alchemist Radio. Kuhn blogs at http://www.FightNomics.com and is the author of an upcoming book on the analytics of MMA.
Kuhn has served as a Strategic Advisor for Alchemist Management, consulting to top-tier athletes in the leading global MMA promotions, and earning the nickname “The Fight Scientist” from Alchemist CEO, MC Hammer. Reed is also the creator and author of the “Fight Science” feature in FIGHT! Magazine, and has been a writer and researcher for UFC produced televised content.
Alchemist co-founder and Chairman Jeff Aronson said Thursday that the addition of the show to his company’s portfolio further establishes the agency as the industry leader.
“Today’s athlete needs a forum where they can speak their minds and promote their careers,” Aronson said. “Alchemist Radio will serve as the portal for today’s mixed martial artists to enhance their visibility and further their careers while they are actively competing and when they retire.”
Episode one of Alchemist Radio will stream live at 8pm EST/ 5pm PST on Wednesday, March 13 on http://www.alchemistradio.com. Along with MC Hammer, Levick and Ciccarelli will welcome UFC middleweight Chris Weidman who will face Anderson Silva at UFC 162 on July 6 for the UFC middleweight championship.
Also joining the show is former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nate Marquardt who returns to the UFC on March 16 at UFC 158 to face Jake Ellenberger and UFC lightweight and Ultimate Fighter Finalist Mike Ricci who will be competing on the same card in Montreal against Colin Fletcher.
