North Shore Pictures and Naedomi Media announce the release of Death from Above on March 26, 2013. This action thriller brings the best lineup of TNA Wrestling stars ever in a feature-length film. Former Olympic Champion and current pro wrestler, Kurt Angle, heads up an all-star cast including James Storm, Matt Morgan, and ODB among others. It was written and directed by Bruce Koehler of North Shore Pictures.
Death from Above is the action packed story of Thule, an Ancient Druid demon (Angle) who has returned to claim his prize - to rule the world through one thousand years of darkness. But with one man (Storm) standing between him and his ultimate reign, the two brutal forces of good vs. evil collide in this epic battle of wills. Audiences will delight in seeing the mix of characters which also include performances from Anti-Flag, Tom Savini (From Dusk till Dawn), and Robert Z’Dar (Maniac Cop). All will enjoy Death from Above’s featured fight scenes, which includes Druid killer monks and female mud wrestlers.
This is the third micro-budget collaboration between Angle and Koehler and is the follow up to the smash hit River of Darkness. Death from Above is straight away, no-holds-barred, grind-house fun and will be available at Walmart, Blockbuster, Family Video and Barnes and Noble, and online at Amazon.com and CD Universe on March 26, 2013. The retail price in most outlets is $14.99.
Critics are saying its Koehler’s best work and many are wondering if he’s destined for Hollywood. When asked about it in a recent interview, Koehler responded, “No, that’s not my thing. I’m an east coast guy and North Shore Studios is staying in Pittsburgh, where it belongs.”
