Dallas, TX (PRWEB) March 08, 2013
Promising to offer a better way to bank, Neighborhood Credit Union this week broke ground on its first location in Coppell, surrounded by some three dozen community and credit union leaders.
“Coppell has so much going for it, from its great location to its strong schools, young workforce and hard-working people who are proud to call Coppell home,” said Chet Kimmell, president and CEO of Neighborhood Credit Union, a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution. “It is this energetic spirit that made Neighborhood Credit Union want to be part of this community.
“We believe Coppell is going places, given its forward-thinking leadership and the community’s focus on growth, economic development, and quality of life,” continued Kimmell. “We’re excited to be part of that effort.”
Coppell Mayor Pro Tem Tim Brancheau and Chamber of Commerce President Kristi Valentine offered welcoming remarks, before joining other local dignitaries and Neighborhood Credit Union board members with shovels and hard hats for the ceremonial groundbreaking.
Construction actually began in February; in fact, construction crews were hard at work throughout the event. The new Neighborhood Credit Union in Coppell, located at 360 S. Denton Tap Road, is scheduled to open by the end of the summer.
