Verde Martin, Omaha- and Chicago-based sales audit firm, announced it will sponsor a new networking event called SalesTalk. The first of the monthly events will take place on March 21, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha.
Jill Slupe, Verde Martin president and creator of the event, said SalesTalk topics will attempt to eradicate the sleazy car-salesman connotation of the word “sales” and create a down-to-earth dialogue about the challenges of sales, as well as keys to refining the sales process. Slupe believes the sleazy image of sales is a subject that all too often gets generalized and brushed over.
“We want to cultivate a peer-to-peer learning environment to help business leaders connect with new people and get involved in a useful dialogue about sales. We'll also teach strategies they can easily implement in their business’s current processes to drive sales,” Slupe said. “If you are a business owner open to growth and overall improvement in your sales, this event is for you.”
March's SalesTalk, Go Where the Money Is, is centered on helping businesses increase revenue. Led by Slupe, attendees will define the segment of their customer base that is generating the majority of business revenue and how to better target and retain that core market.
