The Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN), an online procurement system that provides vendors with an easier and more economical way to access and compete for local government bids will be meeting with local Michigan vendors at The Michigan Public Purchasing Officer’s Association (MPPOA) Reverse Trade Fair.
MPPOA’s Reverse Trade Fair will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek, Michigan. Agency buyers from local government and educational institutions around the state of Michigan will be in attendance meeting with vendors looking to do business in these areas. Multiple MITN Purchasing Group Agency members invited IPT by BidNet to participate at MPPOA Vendor Fair.
MITN Purchasing Group connects 1,336 departments from 105 local Michigan government agencies and provides a bid notification system that gives vendors instant access to Bids, RFP's, Quotes and Amendments online. The MITN bid network was developed and is maintained by IPT by BidNet, which manages 15 local government purchasing groups throughout the country.
IPT by BidNet representing the MITN Purchasing Group and its local government purchasing department members will be meeting with vendors at the Reverse Trade Fair. The MITN Purchasing Group representatives will be answering any vendor questions regarding the bid system and registering vendors to have access to bid opportunities from its agency members.
“We look forward to having the MITN Purchasing Group attend the 6th Annual Reverse Trade Fair for MPPOA members. The Reverse Trade Fair serves several purposes. First, it is a great way for our agency members to participate in a large vendor outreach event. Second, it gives agencies and vendors the opportunity to have face-to-face contact with professional peers from around the state. An added bonus, this is MPPOA's largest fundraiser and completely funds our Educational Scholarship Program. We learn new and better ways to practice our craft,” stated Veronica Caston-Frost, Senior Solicitation Manager for Wayne County Airport Authority and MPPOA Board Member.
