Lowe's-MDA Shamrocks Sales Going Well as St. Patrick's Day Approaches

WHO:    Sales for the annual MDA Shamrocks program are going strong at Lowe’s Home Improvement outlets, with many retailers showing encouraging results for the colorful mobile campaign as St. Patrick’s Day draws near. And the Association’s area ambassadors continue to make store visits to thank employees and customers for being generous in their fight against muscle diseases - showing their commitment to the more than 1 million families affected by selling and buying Shamrocks.

WHAT:    Lowe’s, in its 13th year of support for the MDA community and a national MDA sponsor since 2007, are selling $1 green, $5 gold and $20 platinum Shamrocks mobiles.

From wishing wells to colorful animal characters, Shamrocks displays are popping up throughout Lowe’s stores as employees decorate their store walls or create amazing visuals showing customer’s support.

In 2012, Lowe’s broke its own record as MDA’s top all-time Shamrocks retailer.

WHERE:    At more than 1,700 stores throughout the United States.

WHEN:    Now through March 31, 2013.

WHY:    The home improvement retailer is attempting to raise millions to assist MDA in providing critical service programs, worldwide research and accessible summer camp experiences for individuals and families affected by neuromuscular diseases across the country.

MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.
