Avectra has a strong commitment to helping nonprofit groups increase efficiency and better serve their constituents. Our work with Project Night Night is an extension of those efforts
McLean, VA. (PRWEB) March 12, 2013
Avectra, a leading web-based Social CRM developer of web-based member and donor-based software for associations and not-for-profits, demonstrated the success of their recent community event , supporting Project Night Night by creating and delivering care packages to the children of the Covenant House Florida. Avectra and its clients helped assemble care packages during the ninth annual Avectra Users and Developers Conference (AUDC) held at Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort in Orlando.
Through the passion and energy of AUDC attendees and Avectra staff, over three hundred care packages were created. In addition to the Covenant House of Florida, donations will be made to Harbor House of Central Florida, Salvation Army Orlando Women’s Shelter, Family Promise of Orlando, Smiling Butterflies based in Casselberry, Fla., and Families Forward, Inc., of Washington, D.C.
Project Night Night donates over 25,000 Night Night Packages each year to homeless children who need childhood essentials to feel secure, cozy, ready to learn, and significant. Each Package contains a new security blanket, an age-appropriate children's book and a stuffed animal inside of a new canvas tote bag. By providing objects of reliable comfort, Project Night Night reduces trauma and advances the emotional and cognitive well-being of the children being served.
“We have long admired the efforts of Project Night Night and we are honored to be able to help them in accomplishing their mission," said Avectra Chairman and CEO Richard Davis. “Avectra has a strong commitment to helping nonprofit groups increase efficiency and better serve their constituents. Our work with Project Night Night is an extension of those efforts.”
Covenant House is a leading advocate on behalf of homeless youth – those who can't speak up for themselves at local, state, national, and international levels of government. Covenant House was founded in 1972 with the simple, profound mission to help homeless kids escape the streets. Today, it the largest privately funded charity in the Americas providing loving care and vital services to homeless, abandoned, abused, trafficked, and exploited youth.
“We truly appreciate the efforts Avectra has done on behalf of Project Night Night to help the 25,000 children our organization serves each year,” said Kendra Stitt Robins. “We rely on the efforts of 10,000 volunteers and partnerships with companies like Avectra to make our goals come true, and we look forward to working with Avectra in the future.”
