Santa Ana, CA (PRWEB) March 13, 2013
The DevTo Support Foundation is providing THINK Together with $25,000 that will allow the Shalimar Teen Center in Costa Mesa to continue to offer a comprehensive college preparation program to the low-income teens in that neighborhood.
The program includes innovative online preparation courses for the Scholastic Assessment Test, and the American College Test as well as Algebra I.
These innovative online programs recreate lifelike coaching experience through full interaction and immersion. The online programs also provide differentiated instruction, which empowers students to work through problems from start to finish.
The funding from DevTo Support Foundation will also allow students to attend college field trips. Students will be able to visualize themselves at college campuses, which will encourage them to make their dream of attending college a reality.
THINK Together staff will aide students’ academic achievement and career development. Staff members will also ensure that financial aide education and information is available at the teen center as well for the students and their families.
