Code, an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of image-based bar code readers, announces the addition of Code’s Technology Center. The new location, in Princeton, NJ is a result of the company’s rapid growth and global expansion initiatives.

“The growth we are experiencing is phenomenal,” says CEO and President George Powell. “This expansion allows Code to enhance our leadership position in bar code decoding performance, as well as provide rapid support to our customers’ challenging applications.”

The center’s focus is to develop image-based, bar coding solutions to ensure Code products have the highest performance and provide the best customer experience. Additionally, Code’s Technology Center employees will perform R&D in areas such as product development, manufacturing quality improvement, and advanced image analysis algorithms to facilitate Code’s expansion.

As an established industry leader in healthcare, Code has quickly solidified its position as a technology leader by expanding its product availability in new markets. This goal is greatly strengthened by the addition of the center, as it bolsters the company’s management of its fast-growing business demands with the influx of work it accommodates.

The center will also uphold Code’s distinct reputation for providing customized, best-in-class solutions for reading both linear (1D) and Data Matrix (2D) bar codes. To ensure this quality, the center works closely with Code’s global headquarters in Utah, APAC headquarters in Singapore, and Code B.V., Code’s EMEA headquarters, located in the Netherlands.

“Code’s Technology Center in Princeton, NJ is the first of many expansions to come for Code,” adds Powell. “In a time where many economies are uncertain, it is invigorating to lead an industry that offers so much potential for growth, opportunity and stability.”
