Amerinet Announces 2013 Member Achievement Award Winners

Amerinet, a leading national healthcare solutions organization, today announced the winners of its fifth annual Amerinet Healthcare Achievement Awards. Amerinet grants these honors yearly in recognition of the efforts undertaken by its membership to reduce healthcare costs, improve healthcare quality and serve the community-at-large. From a record-breaking number of entries, Amerinet identified twelve outstanding projects that demonstrated innovation and excellence in the development and execution of programs that made a critical difference to the facilities’ patients, community, staff – and the bottom line.

“2012 marked a turning point in the healthcare industry, with our members being tested to an even higher degree by the pending requirements of reform,” said Todd Ebert, Amerinet president and CEO. “This year, we selected facilities that showed their character by abandoning the status quo, embracing change and forging state-of-the-art solutions to the new challenges facing healthcare providers across the nation.”

A panel of expert judges evaluated each entry and superior member performance was identified in a variety of categories – from improvement in financial management and operational efficiencies, to patient quality and community impact. All Amerinet members were eligible, and projects were received from many different types of acute and non-acute care facilities, large and small, rural and urban.

Each winning facility will receive two complimentary trips to the 2013 Amerinet Member Conference occurring May 19-22 at the Walt Disney World® Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Fla. In addition to being honored at a special awards dinner, the selected projects, as well as the many other success stories submitted by participating members, will be featured in a professional banner session.

• Highlands Hospital, Connellsville, Pa.

Financial and Operational Improvement

• Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio
• Hospice By The Bay, Larkspur, Calif.
• St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, N.D.

Quality/Patient Care and Patient Satisfaction

• Sun Radiology, Peoria, Ariz.
• Verde Valley Medical Center, Cottonwood, Ariz. (two awards in this category)

Supply Chain/Data Management/Supply Cost Efficiencies

• Promedica, Maumee, Ohio
• The Polyclinic, Seattle, Wash.
• Virginia Mason Medical Center/On Behalf of the Northwest Pharmacy Council, Seattle, Wash.
