While most conferences seem to align success rate to the quantity of attendees, I truly feel what sets the IE - Innovation Enterprise conferences apart are the quality of attendees.

Success for the modern day FP&A executive depends on the ability to interpret data and draw conclusions but it also hinges upon innovation. With this in mind, the Financial Forecasting & Planning Innovation Summit brought together thought leaders for a unique insight into the role of the FP&A function at a unique, critically acclaimed, cross industry conference.
Topics discussed by attendees included the ongoing debate surrounding traditional annual planning and rolling forecasts as well as practical steps for enabling scenario planning. Commenting on the agenda, the Director of Finance from Novozymes told reporters there was ”a great range of topics discussed, I can’t think of anything missed.” Another satisfied delegate commented: “speakers provided real world problems and resolutions, it’s so important to discuss challenges in a real world context.”
Sponsors at the 4th annual event included Adaptive Planning, Blue Stone International, Host Analytics and Anaplan with a number of organizations commenting on the success of the event as well as the quality of attendee. “This was a hugely successful event and we met several key finance personnel responsible for enhancing the role of finance in their organization. When’s the next one?” A representative from Adaptive Planning was noted as saying.
Another delegate from Blue Stone International commented: "While most conferences seem to align success rate to the quantity of attendees, I truly feel that what sets the IE – Innovation Enterprise conferences apart are the quality of attendees. As a consulting firm focused on targeting the office of the CFO, we felt that the majority of the connections we made at this conference were relevant and meaningful ones."
Running alongside the acclaimed summit were the first annual FP&A Innovation Awards where companies such as Yahoo! Microsoft, Toyota Finance Services and Host Analytics were rewarded for their innovative approaches to FP&A. Categories for the awards included: Talent Development Innovation (Winner: Yahoo!), Best FP&A Technology Tool (Winner: Host Analytics), Forecasting Innovation (Winner: Toyota Finance Services) and the Business Analytics Innovation Award presented to Microsoft for their unique approach to analytics driven results.
The Financial Forecasting & Planning Innovation Summit will once again be taking place in San Diego in February 2014 with the sister event taking place on the East coast in Boston, September 11 & 12.
