According to a recent report in the Independent newspaper, 62-year-old Paul Marshallsea has been dismissed from his job in Wales after he was hailed a hero and filmed in Australia when he grabbed a six foot shark and pushed it back into the sea to save nearby children who were paddling. The footage went around the world and unfortunately for Paul who was on sick leave suffering from stress, the charity that employed him saw the video and sacked him for breach of trust.
The report goes on to say that Mr Marshallsea and his wife were both on sick leave from the charity having suffered from stress due to becoming heavily involved in the charity and working seven days a week. They claim that they had been advised by their GP to go on holiday.
