Search engine optimisation can give websites a boost

Almost three quarters of businesses believe that user experience is important for improving sales and conversions, according to data from Econsultancy. Increased customer satisfaction and customer loyalty were also popular responses – 72 % and 44 % respectively.

The study asked over 1,400 digital and ecommerce professionals and looked at the approach taken by companies and agencies and the challenges and barriers they face.

The conclusion of a better user experience results in better sales is not new – if customers find products easy and quickly and enjoy the shopping experience then it is likely they will buy something and return at a later date.

SEO Positive, one of the UK’s most established search engine optimisation and pay per click agencies understands the importance of converting sales through a well optimised and efficient website. Whilst it is important converting sales once customers are on a site, it is also important to ensure that potential customers are able to reach a website, which is mostly achieved through Google’s ranking.

Ben Austin, Managing Director of SEO Positive explained, ‘Google’s rankings are influenced by the amount of relevant data on a site and internal and external links. These factors give a website authority and decide what page they rank on. Search engine optimisation can give websites a boost and help it to appear higher, which in turn increases the amount of visitors and conversions to the site.’
