CPAmerica International congratulates two of its member firms for being recognized in the Top 100 Firms and a total of five member firms recognized as Regional Leaders by Accounting Today in the March 2013 issue.
Firms were ranked by their responses to an invitation survey where each firm answered questions regarding their net revenue and geographical location.
Frazier & Deeter, led by managing partner Seth McDaniel, grew net revenue by more than 18 percent, according to the article. Frazier & Deeter had an outstanding jump in the rankings, from 74th on the list in 2012 to 69th on this year’s list. The firm also was on the Regional Leader list for the Southeast. The Atlanta-based firm had net revenues over $44 million in 2012.
AKT, CPAs, led by managing partner Stephen Tatone, grew net revenue by more than 8 percent and was ranked 93rd, according to the article. AKT acquired several smaller practices and added staff with expertise in R&D credits, health care practice management and regulatory rate consulting, according to the article. The firm was also a Regional Leader for the West. Based outside of Portland, Ore., the Salem firm had net revenues of more than $34 million in 2012.

Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman, CPAs, (GRF), led by managing partner David Graling, was listed as a “Firm to Watch” and a Regional Leader in the Capital region. GRF is based in Bethesda, Md. and had firm revenues close to $21 million in 2012.
Maxwell, Locke & Ritter, (MLR), led by managing partner Steven Knebel, was listed as a Regional Leader in the Southwest. With their main office located in Austin, Texas, MLR had net revenue near $17 million in 2012.
Gray, Gray & Gray, (GG&G), led by managing partner Joseph Ciccarello, was listed as a Regional Leader in the New England region. Based out of the Boston area in Westwood, Mass., GG&G had a net revenue of close to $14 million and had a 32 percent change over 2011.
