Analyst praises Vision-Box for its innovative, competitively priced end-to-end solutions backed by exceptional customer service.

Vision-Box, leader in automated border control systems and electronic identity solutions, has been recognized by Frost & Sullivan for the 2013 European Vertical Market Penetration Leadership Award.

This award is the result of a thorough evaluation by Frost & Sullivan which identified four key performance factors that have driven Vision-Box’s performance in the market including: 1) the uniqueness of the product portfolio; 2) price flexibility, only possible because Vision-box controls all stages of the product life cycle and project deployment; 3) onsite, 24*7 customer service supported by teams of highly skilled specialists; 4) long-term commitment to the industry and a game changer partner, responsible for the first deployment of ABC eGates at an airport based on face matching verification against an ePassport.

All these factors have contributed to a strong growth (28-30 percent year-on-year), enabling Vision-Box to achieve a respected position in the European border control and biometrics market.

According to Krzysztof Rutkowski, Research Analyst from Frost & Sullivan, “With a focus to increase customer satisfaction, Vision-Box has tailored their solution to meet all the requirements of the end user. The entire solution is produced (in-house) starting from hardware which captures the biometrics, continuing with the software which matches the biometrics stored on the passport chip taken by the eGate and ending at the passenger/transaction data consolidation in a single communication and reporting platform, vb i-shield®. The capability of tailoring and providing the entire solution decreases the cost of ownership for the end user.”

Miguel Leitmann, Senior Vice President of Vision-Box, emphasized that “this award confirms the general market perception, identifying Vision-Box as an end-to-end solution provider for complete border control and identity management solutions”. Miguel adds, “The Vision-Box product portfolio will continue to evolve and become a broader platform for immigration, customs, police, airport operators and airlines that more efficiently links the necessary chain of trust between the passenger journey and the authorities, and therefore increases efficiency, improves the user experience and reduces dramatically the port operation costs."

Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this award to the company that has demonstrated excellence in capturing the fastest measured rate of change of market share of a specific vertical market. This Award recognizes how fast a company increases its vertical penetration of a market, in terms of revenues or units, as specified.
