The resorts within the SkiWelt are popular with British Skiers and provide 279km of slopes making it the most extensive linked piste network in Austria. In recent years skiers have seen the construction of a link between Brixen, on the south side of the main SkiWelt area, and Westendorf; which features a gondola at the top of the main hill and a red run back down.
Every day from Monday to Friday, guests can meet their ski instructors from the local ski schools at the bottom of the lift station in their resort at 9am. They will then be guided for the whole day through the SkiWelt for free. Then to end the day the ski guides will make a final stop at one of the mountain huts. As part of the SkiWelt Party Weeks each hut will be offering something different, from trendy tunes to traditional folk music and to keep things interesting, each hut will alternate their theme daily. To obtain free ski guiding, guests need to register at the local tourist board before 5pm the day before. The only restriction is that this service is not available for beginner skiers.
In addition from 16 – 23 March 2013, the Skiwelt’s Super Ski Weeks offer guests a further 25% saving on their entire holiday, including ski pass and accommodation, ski hire and ski school. The SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental is Austria’s largest fully piste interconnecting ski area with 279km of marked pistes served by 91 cable cars and lifts from the villages of Going, Ellmau, Scheffau, Söll, Itter, Hopfgarten, Westendorf, Kelschau and Brixen im Thale.
