The Loftus Plastic Surgery Center in Cincinnati, OH is sponsoring "A Cincinnati Makeover" video contest. Local filmmakers and citizens can submit a video demonstrating positive or negative changes to our city for a chance to win $2,000.

Applicants will create a 2-4 minute video that demonstrates the changes taking place in Cincinnati or the changes that need to take place in Cincinnati.

The Loftus Plastic Surgery Center in Cincinnati, OH, is sponsoring "A Cincinnati Makeover" video contest. Local filmmakers and residents can submit a video that captures the changes taking place to the urban core of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky for a chance to win $2,000.

It does not take a plastic surgery expert to recognize that Cincinnati is in the midst of a makeover. Parks, buildings, neighborhoods and businesses are being renovated to restore the city center to its historic status as an energetic, cultured and safe place to live, work and play. The Loftus Plastic Surgery Center would like to highlight these changes by awarding a grand prize of $2,000 to the local filmmaker(s) that capture the changes taking place, or changes that need to take place in Cincinnati. Applicants will create a 2-3 minute video that demonstrates the changes taking place in Cincinnati, or the changes that need to take place in Cincinnati. The creator(s) have a wide birth of topics to choose from as the city of Cincinnati and private businesses have made many changes in the past decade.

Cincinnati has recently seen a plethora of private and public investments made in its downtown core including a consortium of restaurant and bars, condos, and a brewery on the banks of the Ohio River aptly named The Banks. The Horseshoe Casino opened this month in Over The Rhine, Washington Park has been redesigned to include swimming fountains, a dog park, children's play area, and green space. Restaurants are opening every month on the main thoroughfares. Many of the historic buildings in Over The Rhine, which houses the second largest collection of Italianate / German architecture in the U.S. outside of New York City, have been restored, or are in the process of being restored. The off campus area of the University of Cincinnati is experiencing change with the construction of USquare. A streetcar is in the works to connect areas of downtown with uptown to efficiently move consumers from one popular location to another.

With investment and residents returning to the core of the city of Cincinnati, as with all things, there are perspectives from all sides. This video contest has the ability to voice any perspective; no matter how you feel about the changes that have taken place, you can be a part of this contest. Maybe there are changes that you would like to see take place that have not, this contest is open to you too.
