"We did some research into the largest Microsoft Dynamics for Retail partners, and we liked what we saw in Ignify." - Lynda Barr, CFO of Edwin Watts Golf
Long Beach, CA (PRWEB) March 29, 2013
Ignify customer Edwin Watts Golf was featured as a participant in two key retail sessions at 2013 Microsoft Convergence: “Microsoft Dynamics for Retail: Customer Panel” and “Microsoft Dynamics for Retail: Delivering the Future of Retail Today – Strategy, Solution Overview, Next Generation Investments, & Customer Insights.”
Over the past four years, Edwin Watts Golf has grown its retail business to more than 90 retail locations in addition to direct mail and Internet sales. The company has also grown in complexity, offering custom equipment, trade-ins, and specialized customer service that taxed the capabilities of its aging legacy systems.
They reviewed the top-performing retail applications to identify those that could deliver inventory/warehouse management, point of sale, and general ledger in a single system, and eliminated vendors that couldn’t support the company’s multichannel model. The team decided unanimously in favor of Microsoft Dynamics for Retail, which was deployed by Ignify, a Microsoft Dynamics Gold Certified partner and 2012 Microsoft Dynamics Partner of the Year.
“We did some research into the largest Microsoft Dynamics for Retail partners, and we liked what we saw in Ignify,” said Lynda Barr, Chief Financial Officer of Edwin Watts Golf and speaker at the two Convergence sessions, in a Microsoft Dynamics case study. “The fact that Ignify did the implementations for the Microsoft retail stores was also a strong recommendation.”
The Customer Panel discussed dynamic retailers who are leveraging the Microsoft Dynamics solution for store systems, omni-channel, order management and more. This panel delved into their experiences and their vision for the future of retail.
Microsoft Dynamics for Retail is the most widely available retail solution in the world today with complete omni-channel, store management, and mobility offerings. The session “Microsoft Dynamics for Retail: Delivering the Future of Retail Today" discussed Microsoft’s vision, investment priorities and roadmap, and in addition, the session provided a preview of investments on mobility and related client experiences, retail server and commerce runtime.
“We were very proud to see Edwin Watts Golf at this forum,” said Bhavesh Ashani, Vice President of Customer Satisfaction for Ignify. “We enjoyed hearing Lynda Barr share her in-depth industry knowledge and experience as a leader of one of the world’s premier specialty golf retailers.”
