Toledo, OH (PRWEB) March 20, 2013
Buyvite Group Pay, (http://www.buyvite.com) a social payment company based in Chicago, IL and Toledo, OH announced today the official launch of their private label social and group payment API for developers.
The private label API allows developers to tap in to Buyvite’s group payment technology and offer cost splitting and social payment functionality on any ecommerce website or application and can be completely customized to any brand. Developers can leverage the Buyvite API to allow their customers to split the cost of any product or service seamlessly and socially.
Company founder Brandy Alexander-Wimberly explains that social and group payment is trending as an ancillary offering for retailers, event ticketing, travel and social media companies. “We’re one of the original platforms in this space which is still very new, and we’re seeing that group payment functionality is quickly emerging as an additional offering for several verticals that we align with for our consumer facing product. We developed this feature rich API to specifically allow our customers to offer a “crowd funding” model on their sites and applications directly. This is obviously an emerging space and our API was built for developers as an easy way to implement the convenience of cost-splitting, crowd funding and social payment for their retail, event ticketing, travel and even consumer banking and transaction processing companies.”
Alexander-Wimberly goes on to explain that the API was built for developers to implement on their terms. “Another advantage for developers using the Buyvite API to offer cost splitting functionality is that it is compatible with all major credit card brands. Most of our competitors force end users to be account holders on their systems. The Buyvite API was built for developers to easily implement fully branded social payment without the hassle of forcing customers to sign up for yet another account. We are seeing increasing interest in implementing social payment for several use cases and are increasingly on-boarding new customers. Our first implementation includes a company currently in stealth mode set to launch in the coming weeks.”
The Buyvite API is flexible in terms of implementing existing payment infrastructure or using the Buyvite merchant account or gateway. Buyvite’s PCI compliant environment can handle everything from card storing to payouts. There is no set up fee for the API and fees are minimal, transparent and are on par with other payment platform providers in the space.
