The sciatic nerve is the largest nerve in the human body. It is formed from several nerves that exit the lumbar (lower back) spine. It then travels through an opening made by the pelvis. If the spine and/or pelvis misalign, the sciatic nerve is often pinched, sending pain into the buttock or leg areas. Dr. Foster latest sciatica post can be found here at: http://www.drgrantfoster.com/sciatica-treatment-in-san-diego/, along with other popular topics regarding health and wellness. When asked about the cause of sciatica and his experience Dr. Foster replied, "In my 30+ years experience at Foster Chiropractic Clinic, I have found that the most common cause of sciatica, by far, is a spinal or pelvic subluxation (misalignment). I see this problem everyday and have over a 90% success rate at providing sciatica pain relief of this condition."
