Guests and local residents are invited to celebrate Earth Day and join the Ladies and Gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel for a Beach Clean-Up on Saturday, April 20. The Beach Clean Up begins at 10 a.m. at Salt Creek Beach, located directly in front of the resort. Naturalists from the resort’s Eco-Adventure Center will provide trash bags and gloves for participants, and will manage the removal of the trash that is collected.

California's beaches accumulate trash and other debris, and with Salt Creek being such a popular beach, it too gathers trash and other waste. If these items are not removed, it can be harmful and even fatal to wildlife and become a health hazard to humans. The Earth Day Beach Clean-Up is a fantastic day for friends and neighbors of all ages to come together and take care of the fragile marine environment and develop an appreciation and respect for nature. It is also an opportunity to learn from the resort’s Eco-Adventure Center naturalists about how fragile our beaches and oceans are and how we can all become Eco Heroes.

Earth Day is an annual day on which events are held worldwide to increase awareness and appreciation of the Earth’s natural environment.

The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel’s Eco-Adventure Center offers unique excursions that inspire participants with Southern California’s unique ecosystems and connect their spirit to their larger global systems. Led by expert naturalists, the Eco-Adventure Center is dedicated to showcasing Southern California’s natural wonders. Through the activities, the local surroundings become a natural classroom and living laboratory. Adults, families and kids learn through experience, which instills them with a deep appreciation and respect for nature. As well, they discover how to live more environmentally responsible in their own homes.
