The market is full of ‘miracle’ weight loss products, claiming to offer instant results. However, worryingly, consumers are willing to pay for them.
So which ‘miracle’ weight loss solutions are the most sought after? According to Differ Diets' most active members, they are:
1. Chewing gum that helps you diet
2. A body lotion that naturally tones the muscles
3. A bodybuilding pill that builds muscle with little gym work (and no side effects).
UK entrepreneur and owner of Differ Diets, Astan Morarji, has questioned whether this interesting and light-hearted poll may have deeper connotations:
“I am astounded by the fact that 93% of respondents said that they would risk everything to use 'miracle' products even if its effectiveness had not been fully proven in testing.”
Morarji went on to say:
“It shows how consumers are willing to do anything to lose weight and build muscle, without considering the core biological principles of the body.”
Some of the other ‘miracle’ products include clothing that enables you to drip sweat and lose weight, and special low calorie products that taste like fast-foods, but are produced from artificial substances.
