Parenting is the hardest job on earth. Long hours, sleepless nights, little pay, no sick leave. Renee Sullivan created a weekly place where moms could connect and share their challenges.
"It's normal to have been able to juggle and manage millions of things in our career, but challenging to 'manage' this one precious and cute - poop and burping creature!"
After four successful years of growing from 3 moms in a room at Destination Maternity, there are now 20 locations each week throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Westchester, and Long Island. In the signature moms groups, moms share experiences, engage in parenting discussions, gather valuable resources, and ask parenting questions to make this time smoother, saner, easier and more enjoyable.
Mothers share after these warm, informative, and friendly sessions, they are fully connected to a great group of other moms and have essential parenting resources. The groups guide parents to embrace their role as a mom with more confidence, compassion and humor and have some fun along the way. Led by Renee Sullivan, parent coach, fellow mom and founder of the support group program.
Launching April 2013 are groups in Port Washington, Rosyln, and Great Neck with further groups scheduled out east for summer 2013.
Renee Sullivan, parent coach and founder of the support group program, ensures every mom receives the support, resources, and community they need to feel at ease to make informed and educated parenting decisions. Positive, warm and enthusiastic, her personal attention to detail allows parents in the groups to quickly and easily get confidence in their role as a mom. Nurturing, informative, and fun sessions have made her a dynamic resource to the parenting community since 2006. Before launching her business, she escaped the trenches of Corporate America where she was a Senior Project Manager for The New York Times, Morgan Stanley and Pfizer. She lives in New York City and is the mom of one happy little fella.
