Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) March 21, 2013
Following Hurricane Sandy and during the holiday season, team members of Cavalry Portfolio Services, LLC joined together to demonstrate their commitment to Social Betterment, one of the company’s core values. Team members across the company’s sites participated in food, clothing, personal care item and toy drives. Employees also adopted families in need during the holiday season.
Food and water donations, amounting to several thousand pounds, were delivered to food pantries in the communities in which Cavalry operates. These pantries included the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma in Tulsa, Oklahoma; Second Harvest Heartland in St. Paul, Minnesota; and St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix, Arizona. After Hurricane Sandy, hundreds of personal and food items were donated by Cavalry team members and distributed to victims residing in New York and New Jersey through local organizations. Over 1, 300 clothing items and coats were delivered to the Phoenix Rescue Mission in Phoenix, Arizona and the Westchester Coalition for the Hungry and Homeless in White Plains, NY. Additionally, toys were distributed to the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, New York, and families were adopted for the holiday season through the Phoenix Rescue Mission in Phoenix, Arizona.
Team Members from Cavalry have been giving back to their communities and caring for others for many years by contributing their time and money, and collecting food, clothing, toys and other items for donation.
