CHCP To Offer Online Associate's Degree in Health Care Management

The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is proud to announce it will now offer an online associate’s degree in Health Care Management. The addition of the new program marks the fourth online program offered by CHCP Online.

CHCP’s Health Care Management program will teach students the current state of health and disease, health care law and ethics, the psychology of health care, financial operations of the health care system along with basic office management, technical and professional skills, human resources and project management. Courses through the program include, but are not limited to, introduction to business, principles of management and leadership, human resources management, medical document formats, accounting, patient privacy rights and medical ethics. Once students earn this associate’s degree in Health Care Management, they are ready to enter the medical and health care management field.

“We have seen a strong need from our health care employers across Texas for health care management skills. We have built this program to meet those needs by implementing courses and building skills in medical coding, human resources, project management, and clinical knowledge to name a few,” said Jon Emerald, CEO of The College of Health Care Professions.

The Health Care Management online program is approved by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools.
