Wordans reported an increase in support to the community by launching new discounts
Montréal, Québec (PRWEB) March 21, 2013
Custom t-shirts are one of the most common media used for fundraisers and events. They are mostly used to identify volunteers or as a fundraising source. With approximately 80 000 charities registered in Canada and 2 billion volunteering hours reported per year, we can say there was indeed a need for something to be done!
In addition to launching a new special discount for charities last week, Wordans announced they intended to give back to the local community through sponsorships. Their engagement have already started with a donation of t-shirts for the Canadian Autism Society. This social responsibility effort is really important to Eric Gautier, CEO and founder of Wordans. 'Last year, we offered t-shirts to the volunteers for a makeover at the Ste-Justine hospital in Montreal. We also sponsored shirts for a fundraiser event that featured the Canadian paralympic basketball team.' says Gautier. 'We love to receive pictures of the events and see we have made a small difference'.
While the number of requests for sponsorship has increased dramatically over the last months, Wordans decided to make an extra effort to accommodate the demand; a special discount has been created for the fundraisers and charities. 'We receive a lot of requests and can't unfortunately give back to everyone although we are always touched to think people thought about our custom t-shirts to make their events come true' says Eric Gautier. 'This is why we created a special discount!'
