Lucid Data Corporation announces support for the Apple iPad

With the expansion of mobile computing in K-12 school systems, Lucid has redesigned its web-based professional development management, classroom observation and teacher evaluation system, PDExpress, to include support for the Apple iPad.

Lucid has redesigned PDExpress to take advantage of the Apple iPad. The development approach was to create a single interface that would be identical on both the desktop and iPad allowing for seamless transition between both platforms. According to John Wills, Lucid's Director of Marketing, "It was important to maintain the same design on the desktop as on the iPad because both are widely used by schools and it eliminates the need for teachers and administrators to learn two interfaces. In many cases, school personnel are already overwhelmed with software technology, and adding another layer to accommodate a new platform would lead to reduced efficiency and productivity."

Founded in 1999, Lucid Data Corporation provides comprehensive professional development, classroom observation and teacher evaluation management software products and services, and markets and sells its products to K-12 school districts throughout the United States.
