Sylvia Silvestri, an RN and top cosmetic surgery medical consultant in Beverly Hills, has been named an official national trainer for the non-surgical Vampire Facelift procedure.
The procedure, made famous recently when Kim Kardashian tweeted a picture of herself after receiving it, involves a trademarked combination of hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) drawn from the patient’s own blood. The result is a rejuvenation of problem areas on the face and a restoration of fullness and elasticity in the skin. With being named a national trainer, Silvestri will work with patients and trained physicians on the Vampire Facelift.
“The use of PRP therapy is nothing new when it comes to treating a variety of health issues, and medical professionals have recently found some outstanding applications for cosmetic procedures,” said Silvestri. “I am proud to be a national trainer for the Vampire Facelift and provide this service to individuals across Beverly Hills. This is an exciting development in our field, and I’m thrilled to be on the cutting edge of the latest in cosmetic procedures.”
The Vampire Facelift works by restoring collagen and new cells in the skin, which are lost over time as a person ages. The procedure leverages a long lasting HA gel that softens wrinkles while activating collagen and cellular growth through the use of PRP. This naturally occurring substance contains growth factors that, when concentrated, work to revitalize the skin’s volume, tone, laxity and texture.
Silvestri has been a cosmetic surgery consultant for more than 17 years. She provides education and guidance to patients across Beverly Hills, Nevada and New York, helping people refine and rejuvenate their skin, face and body so that they can look and feel their best. She has treated hundreds of patients with a variety of facial injectable procedures, many of which involving PRP therapy.
Silvestri, who works out of the office of Dr. Jason Diamond, recently appeared on CNN iReport to discuss the Vampire Facelift, which received a great deal of media attention after Kardashian underwent the procedure in early March.
“Ever since Kim Kardashian posted her photo on Twitter, we have seen a lot of interest in the Vampire Facelift procedure,” said Silvestri. “It has really caught on recently, and people are beginning to realize that it can be a very effective, non-surgical way to improve one’s appearance. This is definitely a major breakthrough.”
