Infotrieve, Inc., the global leader in e-content business service solutions, and The Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA) today announced the availability of integrated work-flow process automation for CLA licences using Infotrieve’s Mobile Library™ e-content software.

CLA licences permit copying from most titles published in the UK and over 30 other international territories. With the implementation of the CLA Title Search API (“application programming interface”), Infotrieve’s Mobile Library platform can efficiently and seamlessly administer CLA licences, on behalf of its clients, helping to ensure copyright compliance.

“Infotrieve is proud to partner with CLA in offering our licence-holding clients an automated workflow solution,” said Ken Benvenuto, President and CEO of Infotrieve, Inc. “By working together to increase the speed at which they can copy and share content, we are providing added value to Mobile Library customers and promoting innovation through the compliant use of up-to-date, quality information.”

Infotrieve’s Mobile Library has more than 400,000 users from more than 7,000 organizations in over 80 countries.

Mat Pfleger, UK Sales and Marketing Director at CLA said: Collaborating with Infotrieve to bring their clients direct access to the CLA Title Search API will help to ensure that organisations maximise the value of their CLA licence by reducing the time and cost associated with administration. Infotrieve’s Mobile Library is one of the first software services to utilise our new API and we are pleased to have the opportunity to combine our expertise to deliver a reliable service which ensures clients have fast access to up-to-date, quality information.

Infotrieve’s Mobile Library offers fully secure, copyright compliant, cloud-based, anywhere, anytime access to enterprise e-content. Leveraging Infotrieve’s “borderless office” technology, users can seamlessly switch between their desktop, laptop or iPad™ without skipping a beat, as their workspace is automatically synchronized across devices. As a flexible e-content software solution, the Mobile Library can serve a variety of customer needs, from easy searching and ordering of pay-per-view content, to a comprehensive rights management solution integrated with shared libraries and social features.

About CLA:
The CLA licence allows organisations to copy and re-use extracts from print and digital publications on behalf of the copyright owners - authors, publishers and visual artists. CLA licences provide a cost effective way to manage the risk associated with using and reproducing copyright-protected materials.

The CLA Title Search API enables organisations to find out whether they can copy a title under their CLA licence. Whether photocopying and distributing an article in a meeting or uploading a report to the company intranet, the CLA Title Search helps to simplify the steps required to ensure compliance.
