In April, kids in need will not only receive hundreds of pairs of new shoes from The Shoe Crew, a group of charitable kids who are giving back to the community, but they will also get an extra special surprise thanks to New York based party supply company Private Island Party. Through a new partnership with “The Shoe Crew”, Private Island Party will match each pair of shoes donated by the Shoe Crew with a pair of fun, light up LED Shoelaces during the month of April.
The Shoe Crew http://www.theshoecrew.org is a group of kids and teens that provides disadvantaged youth with brand new athletic shoes. They collect shoes by hosting events, such as skating parties, pool parties, dances and other fun activities. Instead of charging an entry fee to these “events”, the ticket to attend is a pair of brand new athletic shoes. The shoes are distributed to underprivileged kids through many different charities.
Private Island Party CEO Jonathan Glatt is very committed to giving back to the community. “I am always trying to find a way to brighten peoples’ day- that’s why I own a party supply company! I heard of “The Shoe Crew” and how these kids are making a difference in the lives of so many children and I wanted to find a way to contribute and support their efforts. What goes better with shoes than shoelaces? Our LED shoelaces are a huge hit with kids and teens, so it was the perfect product to donate to help put a smile on the faces of a lot of kids” said Glatt. He went on to say “Making people happy is what Private Island Party is all about. It’s my hope that our LED shoelaces really help make a lot of kids smile”.
Private Island Party is a New York based party supply company, founded in 2009 by Jonathan Glatt, the company provides costumes, accessories, and supplies for theme based parties and events. The LED Shoelaces are a new item for Private Island Party and have been a huge hit within the tween and teen demographic. The newly launched LED Shoelaces make great “basket stuffers” for Easter and are a fun unique product that is very popular with youth age 8-16.
