The North County Transit District recently announced that the SPRINTER Light Rail Service would be undergoing maintenance work done to affected rails starting from March 8, 2013 due to issues with one of the 24 braking systems on the light rail train. The service interruption caused major disruption to the commute of tens of thousands of its users and NCTD understands the problems that its users are facing; therefore, they have contracted bus companies like US Coachways Inc., to replace the light rail service.
US Coachways Inc., when contacted about providing NCTD with charter buses to help transport affected commuters to and from predetermined destinations, effectively put together an efficacious plan and successfully pulled together countless charter buses to help transport the commuters to and from Oceanside CA to Escondido CA on a daily basis. All thanks to the quick planning, commuters can now move around safely while the light rail continues to undergo maintenance.
The fleet of charter bus provided by US Coachways Inc. also made stops at Vista Transit Center, Paloma College and Cal State San Marcos in an effort to allay the problems faced by commuters due to the suspension of the light rail service. The charter buses ran the length of the route every thirty minutes whereby a one-way trip lasted approximately sixty minutes.
As with the concern of NCTD, US Coachways Inc. had the safety of its passengers listed as top priority and its vehicles ferried thousands of people over the weekend to their intended destinations in a safe and professional manner. The company showed that their primary concern was the welfare of its staff and passengers and paid prudent attention to the charter buses used during the operation and the prominent charter bus company’s plan was considered highly effective and successful.
