Luxury table linen designer Shine Handmade (http://www.shinehandmade.com) will display its line of table toppers, table runners and other artfully designed products – all featuring beautiful spring fabrics – at the 2013 Antiques & Garden Fair April 19-21 at the Chicago Botanic Garden.

Shine Handmade owner/designer Janet Catlow, a longtime textile artist who is passionate about fabrics and quality workmanship, will be on hand throughout the event (Booth # 707) to demonstrate how her products can be used to craft a stylish tablescape. Working from her St. Charles studio, she designs and creates each piece with the help of a few carefully selected Chicago area seamstresses and using mostly American fabrics. Many items are one of a kind, and all feature unique, artful fabric selections and strict attention to detail.

The Shine Handmade product line includes:

  • Table toppers – all are 52” square to accent virtually any size or shape table
  • Table runners – available in two sizes: 14” x 72” and 14” x 90” (custom sizes also available)
  • Gift bags – perfect size and shape for giving gifts of wine or liquor; unique flat-bottom design enables them to stand upright to hold vases of flowers, containers of kitchen utensils, specialty oils, candies, etc.
  • Table for Two – (new product) set composed of a 22-inch wide fabric table runner, two oversize napkins in a coordinating fabric, plus two matching napkin rings that together make table dressing a cinch. Combine two matching or coordinating sets to create a table for four.

Shine Handmade can create custom items and exclusive designs for both wholesale and retail trade, according to Catlow.

Shine Handmade sells its products via its website and through home furnishings stores, kitchen stores, boutiques and interior designers nationwide. Chicago area sources include: Brandys of Burr Ridge (Burr Ridge), Country Shop (Winnetka), Design Essentials (Geneva), Gethsemane Gardens (Chicago), Glenbrook Hospital Gift Shop (Glenview), Marcel's Culinary Experience (Glen Ellyn), Past Basket (Geneva), Table Compliments (Highland Park), and The Little Traveler (Geneva).
