Dr. Norman Shealy, founder of the American Holistic Medical Association and one of the world's leading experts in pain management, recently gave a strong recommendation for O'pabox Toothbars on both his weekly radio show and his March 2013 newsletter, according to O'pabox co-founder Amy Savvenas.

Opa Toothbar Soap Lemon Drop

Several years ago I mentioned using irish spring soap to brush your
teeth; it's much better, much cleaner," Shealy said. "It makes [teeth]
whiter, sturdier, stronger, improved gums. I strongly recommend you
try O'pa Toothbars.

Shealy, a personal physician to former presidents Kennedy and Eisenhower, has long prescribed brushing teeth with soap, rather than toothpaste. The reason, according to Shealy, is soap prevents gingivitis caused by bacteria lodged in the gum pockets.

"Several years ago I mentioned using Irish Spring soap to brush your teeth; it's much better, much cleaner," Shealy said. "It makes [teeth] whiter, sturdier, stronger, improved gums. I strongly recommend you try O'pa Toothbars."

Savvenas co-founded the company in 2011 with her husband, Packy. While O'pabox initially dealt with natural, holistic soaps, the duo began developing a tooth bar in hopes it would save Packy's deteriorating teeth from periodontal disease. Once the switch was made, healing changes in both teeth and gums were noticed early on, and the O'pa Toothbar results were evident.

"The natural, holistic products in the O'pa Toothbars are not only completely safe and sanitary, they're much better for your overall tooth health," Savvenas added.

In his March 2013 newsletter Dr. Norman Shealy remarked about the O'pa Toothbar,
"O’pa Soap Bar unequivocally, the best tooth brushing agent in the world. It removes plaque and tastes great. Some years ago I wrote about the benefits of brushing your teeth with soap. Now, a creative soap maker has developed remarkably effective tooth soap. The real thing, with a glycerine base and a nice soft mint flavor. Interestingly, it cleans your toothbrush just as well. All
toothpaste leaves gunk at the base—never with O’pa Soap! I highly recommend it!"

"The O'pa Toothbars remove bacteria and prevent plaque deposits from forming," Savvenas said. "The teeth are allowed to re-enamelize naturally and much more effectively."

The toothbars are available in the original mint flavor and three new flavors cinna-clove, lemon drop and strawberry-licious. O'pa Toothbars can be used by both children and adults.

O'pa Box Toothbars are available locally at Spring Valley Herbs and Natural Foods, 1738 S. Glenstone in Springfield, Mo., and online at http://www.opabox.com.
