One of our core philosophies” Michael L’Ecuyer, President/CEO of Bellwether Community Credit Union, said. “Is to support the communities in which our members live and work as well as recognize outstanding individuals within those communities.”

Bellwether Community Credit Union will again be honoring individuals of all ages who have made a positive impact on the lives of others and their community through a recognition program in partnership with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and New Hampshire Fisher Cats Foundation. Throughout the 2013 baseball season, the Bellwether Community Champion program will celebrate and honor everyday people who have gone beyond the expected to help others. Past champions have been recognized for investing their time and energy in non-profit organizations, going above and beyond to raise money for those in need, or putting their own life at risk to save someone else. The program has had the privilege of recognizing children, teens, and adults from all across New Hampshire.

“One of our core philosophies is to support the communities in which our members live and work as well as recognize outstanding individuals within those communities,” explained Michael L’Ecuyer, President/CEO of Bellwether Community Credit Union. “The New Hampshire Fisher Cats and their fans have been wonderful partners in celebrating these champions and their achievements.”

At select home games, Bellwether Community Champions will be honored during an on-field, pre-game presentation and have the opportunity to toss out a pre-game pitch. Champions will also enjoy VIP treatment at their recognition game, including parking, game tickets, a stadium tour and more. The first Bellwether Champion will be recognized on April 5th.

Nominations for the Bellwether Community Champion program are being accepted through June 1st. There are a number of ways to nominate a Bellwether Community Champion. The form can be completed on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats Facebook page from the icon on their main information bar. Nominators can also download a form at bccu.org or nhfishercats.com. Forms are also available at all Bellwether Community Credit Union branches as well as Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Selected nominees will be contacted throughout the season.

“Every year that we partner with Bellwether Community Credit Union for this program, we see such tremendous, heart-warming stories from people in our communities,” stated New Hampshire Fisher Cats President Rick Brenner. “We are proud to work with such a great partner to provide the recognition that these champions truly deserve.”

Since its inception in 2011, the Bellwether Community Champion program has honored approximately 50 champions at New Hampshire Fisher Cats games.
