Mama D’s Sober Living Homes would like to thank Michael Omidi, M.D. and Julian Omidi of No More Poverty for their support. No More Poverty’s donation of new blankets, bed sheets, pillows and other necessities will help provide comfort and warmth to Mama D’s residents who are in recovery.

“I was excited to see that there are truly angels out there to help keep recovery programs like ours open and available,” says Danette Neisinger, founder of Mama D’s Sober Living Home. “I’m grateful to the Omidi brothers and No More Poverty for supporting our mission of giving people help and hope. When you provide a higher standard of living, it helps people think better of themselves and know that a better life is ahead, thus increasing their motivation to become self-reliant and responsible members of our society.”

Mama D’s Sober Living Homes was established by Danette Neisinger to give people struggling with addiction a place to recover safely and comfortably. The Riverside County, California facility provides residents with basic living amenities, including beds, blankets, a kitchen and laundry room, as well as Internet access and cable television. All residents are required to assist in their own recovery by attending mandatory self-help meetings, and submitting to random drug and alcohol testing. The center is located near Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous resources, so that people in residence can attend meetings whenever they feel motivated to do so. “Sometimes it is difficult to help others, especially with no finances, however so far God has kept the doors open,” says Danette Neisinger. “I am praying for the ability to continue God’s blessings on recreating family ties and giving hope.”
