Brummer Becomes Second CEO in MicroMain’s 22-Year History

We have a strong, growing customer base, thanks to our software and our great customer care. MicroMain will keep its focus on maintenance and facilities while tapping new technologies, especially for mobile users.

MicroMain Corporation, an industry leader in maintenance and facility management software and services, announced that Joe Brummer has been named President and Chief Executive Officer. Brummer was promoted from Executive Vice President.

Brummer has been with MicroMain for over 13 years, with service in marketing, sales, and business operations. His promotion to Chief Executive Officer is a historic turning point for MicroMain, marking the first change of CEO leadership in the company’s 22-year history. Pat Conroy, who founded the company in 1991, was the President and CEO until this year. Brummer became CEO on January 1 and assumed responsibility for day-to-day operations of all of MicroMain’s business units this month.

“It’s been extremely satisfying to see MicroMain grow and evolve,” said Conroy. “Joe Brummer brings tremendous creativity and leadership to the position. We’re handing over the keys to the right person at the right time.”

MicroMain, based in Austin, TX, has provided computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to thousands of customers in the United States and other countries around the world. Within the last decade, MicroMain has also expanded its offerings to include facility management and capital planning solutions.

“We have a strong, growing customer base, thanks to our software and our great customer care,” said Brummer. “MicroMain will keep its focus on maintenance and facilities while tapping new technologies, especially for mobile users.”

The company recently released a new version of MicroMain Mobile, its CMMS add-on that lets users update their maintenance database in real-time using any Internet-enabled devise, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Brummer plans to capture more market share by making mobile maintenance available to a wider audience.

Brummer brings over 20 years of leadership experience to the CEO position. Prior to his hire at MicroMain in 1999, Brummer provided executive services in marketing and sales. Brummer graduated from Texas A&M University.

“At MicroMain, we put our customers first,” said Brummer. “We see the maintenance and facility staff as heroes. Our software helps share their accomplishments with others – in productivity, cost savings, and outstanding performance.”
