Municibid.com founder, Greg Berry has confirmed that he will be a featured speaker at the 2013 SkillsUSA Pennsyvlania State Conference when it takes place in Hershey, PA on April 5th through April 7th. SkillsUSA is a national student organization that develops employability, participatory and leadership skills to complement the occupational skills developed by students in technical education classrooms or work-based learning sites. Hershey, Pennsylvania, is the host site for the SkillsUSA Pennsylvania Skill and Leadership Conference each year. It is comprised of over 1800 attendees, which include judges from business and industry, educational exhibitors, advisors, competitors and delegates.
Berry participated in the SkillsUSA Pennsylvania competitions when he was a youth, which he attributes to building his enthusiasm for entrepreneurship. He is the Founder and CEO of Municibid, a Conshohocken-based technology company. Through its online auction portal focused on government surplus, Municibid.com has helped government agencies earn millions of dollars that will help with future purchases, reducing burden on taxpayers. Since its inception in 2006, Municibid has grown to serve over 800 government agencies including big cities like Philadelphia, Boston and Baton Rouge to counties, boroughs, townships, D.A. offices, school districts, universities, authorities and utilities. Municibid’s team of 10 all reside in the Philadelphia area.
In an effort to support the Pennsylvania technology community and the entrepreneurial success of the region, Berry is personally involved in local knowledge-sharing groups, such as Philly Startup Leaders.
