We are honored to expand on our partnership with NJIT, which will provide graduate students with comprehensive and robust services that will help them attain their academic and career goals.
Upper Saddle River, NJ (PRWEB) March 27, 2013
With more than 6.7 million students taking at least one course online, according to the 2012 Survey of Online Learning conducted by Babson Survey Research Group, higher education institutions are stepping up their efforts to meet the growing demand for online programs. Pearson Embanet (formerly EmbanetCompass) and NJIT announced today an expanded partnership to launch three online master’s degree programs in the fall of 2013 as part a plan to offer 10 or more online graduate programs across each graduate school and college at NJIT. Pearson Embanet will deliver integrated services in the areas of marketing, enrollment, student support, course development, and technical helpdesk, all designed to keep students engaged and ensure program completion.
Part of the portfolio of new programs launched will be in the high-demand fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and will position students for career opportunities in the region and beyond. Building on the success of an existing online Master of Science in Civil Engineering, the next group of programs will include:
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Master of Business Administration focused on the management of technology
- Master of Science in Computer Science
- Additional programs will be added in the subsequent semesters thereafter
“The ability to simultaneously offer multiple graduate masters’ programs in the in-demand field of STEM will be a key competitive advantage for NJIT,” said NJIT President Dr. Joel S. Bloom. “Our expanded partnership with Pearson Embanet will enable us to offer high quality graduate degree programs based on effective curriculum that match the skills in demand in both the local and national economy. Pearson Embanet’s proven services will also position us to rapidly grow our online offerings in the coming years, and help even more working professionals improve their lives through learning.”
“Online learning continues to provide unprecedented opportunities for more professionals to obtain a higher education and successfully compete in today’s demanding job market,” said Steve Fireng, President and CEO of Pearson Embanet. “We are honored to expand on our partnership with NJIT, which will provide graduate students with comprehensive and robust services that will help them attain their academic and career goals.”
