Leading hospitality design and interior architecture firm Gettys is celebrating 25 years of success. Founded by four Cornell graduates in 1988, Gettys has become a leader in design, procurement, and branding for the hospitality industry.

2013 marks a period of stable growth for Gettys as the company continues to strengthen its foothold internationally in the Middle East, North Africa, Asia Pacific, as well as throughout the Americas. “We’re all very excited to see where the industry is headed - especially from a global perspective,” states cofounder and President/COO, Andrew Fay.
The Gettys team is working internationally to continually offer the best in procurement and design. In Asia Pacific, Ariane Steinbeck, cofounder, managing director and principal, is working to initiate and strengthen regional relationships with owners and brands while opening Gettys’ second office in the region. The coming weeks will see her complete the renovation of The Peninsula Hong Kong which coincides with the property’s 85th birthday. Managing Gettys’ efforts in the Middle East is newly appointed Regional Director, Mustapha Chbinou. A designer and architect, Chbinou is currently leading a large-scale procurement project for Rosewood Al Faisaliah, Saudi Arabia. In the United States, Miami-based Karrie Drinkhahn has been promoted to oversee the firm’s global business development efforts, using her celebrated design experience and natural talent for fostering client relationships to further Gettys’ extensive global network.
“We’re enthusiastic about our projects opening their doors in 2013: Le Meridien Atlanta Perimeter; the Al Ghurair Rayhaan Hotel and Al Ghurair Arjaan Serviced Apartments by Rotana in Dubai; the Grand Mercure Dongguan and the Novotel Xinjiekou, both in China; The Epicurean, An Autograph Collection in Tampa, Florida; and the Sheraton in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. This diversity of properties really showcases our wide-range of services and locations,” notes Fay.
This year will also see Gettys’ continued work with Resorts World Manila, the Amalfi Hotel in Chicago, two Hilton Garden Inns in San Jose, Costa Rica and Bogota, Colombia, and the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, among a wealth of others. The success of Gettys One, the bundled design and procurement program for focused-service hotels in the US, has drawn a strong increase in projects awarded and completed thus far in 2013.
